NCPP Program Overview

step up

The  NCPP (North Canton Primary Preschool) was recently recognized as a 5-star Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) program by The Ohio Department of Education. This recognition is assurance that your child will receive a quality preschool education in the North Canton City School District. Your child will participate in a play-based learning environment with other peers their own age (ages 3-5) to foster their social-emotional and language development.

Program Overview

Your child will participate in a play-based learning environment with other peers their own age (ages 3-5) to foster their social-emotional and language development. Each of our five classrooms are comprised by a highly-qualified teacher with a four-year degree from an accredited college or university as well as a highly qualified teacher assistant.

Ratios and Composition

Each classroom environment may have a maximum of eight typically developing children as well as eight children with special needs. As each classroom has both a classroom teacher and a teacher assistant, the maximum number of students within each classroom will be 16, however most classrooms operate with less than 16 children.

Program Schedule

Screenings

Each child must go through a screening process prior to enrolling in our program. Typical peer screenings are scheduled on Friday mornings and as needed throughout the year. Typical peer screenings allow our team of professionals to evaluate your child in order to provide the personalized instruction you expect for your child.
