Stark County Reappraisal Information

As many of you are aware, 2024 is a reappraisal year for Stark County. Every 6 years the County Auditor is charged with a complete reappraisal of all property in the county. Over the last several years, the real estate market has dramatically increased in our county and around Ohio. We want to be sure that the taxpayers of North Canton City Schools have the best information possible regarding these new appraisal values and the impact on your property taxes. While the numbers in our district will vary somewhat based upon the location of your home (Plain Township, Lake Township or City of North Canton) these are the estimates for our School District from the Stark County Auditor.

• The average increase in appraised values for residential properties in North Canton City Schools District will be approximately 32%.*
• The average increase in property taxes for residents of North Canton City Schools District will be approximately 5.8%.*

Please understand that these numbers are averages that are spread over a large number of properties in our North Canton City Schools District and there will be variation on an individual property basis.
